Paw Pals is the Colby branch of the Waterville Humane Society’s volunteer program. Volunteers walk dogs, socialize cats, clean cat rooms and dog kennels, wash pet dishes, do laundry, mop floors, and assist with fundraisers — there’s something for everyone. Socialization through human interaction is crucial for the adoptability of animals, especially the strays, so the time and energy students put in is extremely important. Students also organize campus events to promote animal welfare and to raise money for shelter. Volunteer orientations are held the first Saturday of every month at 9 AM.
Schedule
Everyday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Morning vs. afternoon responsibilities vary. We ask volunteers to commit to a minimum of one hour per week.
